The corporate purpose is to aid in the formation and establishment of local practices and policies designed to conserve, restore, and protect the natural resources of Halfmoon Lake (and adjacent connecting channels), Washtenaw/Livingston County, Michigan. To the extent consistent with the Articles of Incorporation and the exempt status granted to the Association, the Association shall:

a. furnish timely information with respect to the maintenance, preservation, and development of Halfmoon Lake, its shoreline, and surrounding watershed;

b. when appropriate, bring to the attention of local, township, county and state government officials, incidents, and conditions that affect the future environment and water quality of Halfmoon Lake;
